![]() Colors and blacks look much better with the same Nvidia settings and tv settings in the same content as my last TV. It's been replaced and the new panel looks much better than my previous panel. Regardless of what the fuck was on the screen. Who knows what else was wrong with the TV regardless if burn-in warranty is covered longer than 12 months. Wish I would I have spoken to you the expert first instead of wasting my time getting the panel replaced 60 days before the factory warranty expired. I must be a dumbass and needed to do it a 5th time. Weird that the "temporary" image retention didn't clear away after that. I manually ran the pixel refresh 4 times in one week in the inconjuction with the automatic screen optimization options. The bookmark bar is spread across the screen, the YouTube seek bar and media buttons at the bottom of the screen are burnt in too. The pictures in this post don't show the whole screen. I know what temporary image retention is as I've had it with my LG C1. Which that few months would take me over the factory warranty period. Well the Samsung support team via a video call and along with the service repair guy both decided to replace the panel instead of saying it was 'temporary" and should restore itself within a few months. I totally forgot being in IT makes you a jack of all trades and expert on identifying screen burn in compared to temporary image retention. ![]() I know it was a long post but I wanted to share. Let me know if you guys have any questions about something or advice or about your warranty claim experience. Yea the color on the QD is great when you have good HDR but all my TV and movies are downloaded and the HDR mastering is different from release group to release group but boy oh boy can the HDR be fucking amazing on the QD when you have good content. Im ready to get away from QD-OLED and go back to LG WOLED. Yes it's somewhat used but its basically new now. Takes less than 10 minutes in case anyone is thinking about a warranty claim.Įasy peasy and back up and going. They just remove the back cover, remove the logic/mother board with all my data and shit and stuff that into the new replacement TV. Replacing the panel is basically a full TV replacement. Which I had some reservations about but it's a lot easier than you know. Regardless, instead of swapping tvs which i thought would be the easiest. If it's capable of it then it's technically allowed. Like telling me I can't drive my car at 120 mph/193 kph. If I'm not supposed to use them then limit or remove them. Basically 8 or 9 hours a day on average and im using the TV not as designed. Support has him go into the service menu with his remote, I had about 2800 hours on the TV and i only had the TV for 315 days. They service repair person confirmed the issue with Samsung support before replacing the panel. It took about a week including the weekend to get the panel and repair person scheduled. Sent pictures and a summary of the issue and what I've done to address the issue. I know how to troubleshoot and I know when someone is wasting my time and doesn't know what I'm talking about. Things that won't help the physical burn in. They wasted my time doing stupid script troubleshooting like picture test, power cycle the TV. Most content on my PC is set to dark mode so I'm thinking the text and icons being the brightest thing on the display is what causes the burn-in. I manually ran the pixel refresh a few times when I noticed it but it didn't help. The thing is, in usually in full screen mode when watching YouTube. The burn-in is the book mark bar in chrome. I finally noticed it after about 9 or 10 months of owning the TV brand new. The screen moves too much compared to LG and i don't like it. I have logo brightness turned off and pixel movement disabled. There is a brightness difference between the modes even though the picture settings are the same. Like colors are being blown out and i lose contrast. So sometimes I use movie mode if the YouTube content is low quality and the HDR mapping isn't right. Usually I use dynamic picture mode but some shadows look blue due to the shit YouTube content and the contrast enhancer being on low or high. Everything is basically cranked for the brightest picture possible. Picture Settings: hdmi 2.1 input is set as a bluray player so I have a few other options than what you get with PC mode. (LG OLEDs are better for my use case and honestly better tvs than Samsung overall. I upgraded from a 2021 LG C1 and never had any issues with the LG. I have a few pre-cautions in place to mitigate burn-in. So my S95B is 100% used as a PC monitor but it's my main display for everything and sits at the end of my bed.
